# Whole Body: Mosquito

> This test measures the level of specific antibodies in your blood that react to mosquito allergens. It helps show whether your immune system is hypersensitive to mosquito bites, which is useful if you experience severe swelling, blistering, or intense itching after being bitten. By identifying this sensitivity, the test helps distinguish a potential allergy from a standard skin reaction. It does not, however, detect mosquito-borne illnesses such as malaria or West Nile virus.
