> This test measures the amount of specific antibodies in your blood that react to Bipolaris, a common type of mold. It helps show whether this fungus is a trigger for symptoms such as chronic sinus congestion, sneezing, or asthma. These results assist doctors in distinguishing a specific mold allergy from other types of respiratory irritation. However, a positive result indicates sensitization and does not confirm an active fungal infection or predict how severe a reaction might be.
