Allergen Profile, Egg Component IgE

This test measures specific antibodies in your blood that react to the different individual proteins found in eggs. It helps show whether your immune system reacts to proteins that break down during cooking or to those that remain stable, which indicates if you might be able to safely eat baked egg products. This distinction helps rule out the need to avoid all forms of egg if you can tolerate heated versions. However, a positive result indicates sensitization and does not confirm a clinical allergy or predict exactly how severe a future reaction will be.
