Allergen Profile, Egg White, IgE With Component Reflexes
This test measures specific antibodies in your blood that react to the individual proteins found in egg whites. By looking at these specific parts rather than the whole egg, the test helps show whether you are at risk for a severe reaction or if you might tolerate cooked eggs. This distinction helps doctors determine if you need to avoid eggs completely or if you have a sensitivity that is less likely to cause dangerous symptoms. However, this test cannot diagnose an allergy on its own and must be interpreted alongside your history of reactions to food.
