Allergen Profile, Hazelnut, IgE With Component Reflexes
This test measures specific antibodies in your blood that react to individual proteins found in hazelnuts. It helps determine if a reaction is likely caused by a primary food allergy or a cross-reaction with environmental triggers like birch pollen. This distinction helps doctors assess whether you are at risk for a severe, whole-body allergic reaction or if your symptoms are likely limited to mild mouth itching. However, this test cannot predict the exact severity of a future allergic reaction or diagnose an allergy without a doctor’s evaluation of your medical history.
