Allergen Profile, Hazelnut, IgE Components
This test measures specific IgE antibodies in your blood that target distinct proteins found in hazelnuts. It helps show whether a reaction is likely a true food allergy with a risk of severe symptoms or a milder reaction caused by cross-reactivity with pollen. This distinction helps identify patients at risk for serious body-wide reactions versus those likely to have only mild mouth irritation. However, this test cannot predict the exact severity of a future allergic reaction or confirm a diagnosis without a doctor's evaluation of your symptoms.
