Peanut Component Allergy Profile
This test measures specific antibodies in your blood that react to different individual proteins found in peanuts. It helps determine if a positive peanut test is caused by proteins associated with severe, dangerous reactions or by proteins linked to milder symptoms. This distinction helps rule out whether a reaction is likely due to cross-reactivity with pollen rather than a true risk of anaphylaxis. While this provides detailed information about your allergy profile, it cannot predict the exact severity of a future reaction or confirm if you can safely eat peanuts.
