Allergen Profile, Pediatric, IgE With Component Reflexes
This test measures the levels of IgE antibodies in the blood, which are proteins the immune system creates in response to common foods and environmental triggers. It helps show whether symptoms like skin rashes, stomach issues, or breathing problems are likely caused by an allergic reaction. By identifying specific sensitivities, the test helps doctors distinguish between true allergies and other types of intolerances. However, having antibodies does not always mean a reaction will occur, so this test cannot diagnose an allergy without a review of the child's medical history.
