Benzene, Occupational Exposure, Whole Blood

This test measures the level of benzene, a chemical found in gasoline and industrial solvents, in your blood. It helps show whether you have recently been exposed to high levels of this substance, which is often a safety concern in certain workplaces. These results assist doctors in determining if symptoms like dizziness or confusion are caused by benzene poisoning. However, because benzene leaves the body quickly, this test cannot detect exposure that happened more than a few days ago or diagnose long-term health issues on its own.
