> This test measures the amount of tin in the liquid part of your blood. It helps show whether you have been exposed to high levels of this metal, which can occur through contact with industrial chemicals or consuming food from unlined cans. Doctors use this result to help rule out tin toxicity as the cause of symptoms like stomach pain or skin irritation. However, this test cannot identify the exact source of the exposure or diagnose specific organ damage by itself.
