Titanium, Whole Blood
This test measures the amount of titanium, a metal often used in medical implants, circulating in your blood. It is most commonly used to monitor artificial hips or knees to check if the metal parts are wearing down or rubbing together abnormally. Measuring these levels helps doctors evaluate potential implant failure or excessive metal exposure. However, this test does not diagnose an allergy to titanium or identify the specific location of tissue damage.
