This panel measures the levels of electrolytes, minerals, and waste products in your blood, including calcium, uric acid, and creatinine. It helps doctors evaluate how well your kidneys are working and identify chemical imbalances that increase your risk of developing kidney stones. By checking these levels, the test helps determine if high amounts of specific substances in your blood are contributing to stone formation. However, this test cannot identify the exact composition of an existing stone or detect a stone currently located in the urinary tract.
