By creating an account, accessing, or using Picardo ("Picardo," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Picardo. The Service is intended for use only in the United States.
Geographic Restrictions: Lab ordering features are currently NOT available to residents of New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Hawaii, and Maine due to state regulations.
2. Nature of Services
Picardo is a personal health dashboard that allows you to:
- Aggregate and track health data from various sources (e.g., Apple Health, manual entry).
- Upload and parse medical documents using AI technology.
- Order laboratory tests through third-party providers like Labcorp.
- Interact with an AI-powered health assistant.
Picardo is a technology tool, not a medical practice. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. Medical Disclaimer
NO DOCTOR-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP: Use of Picardo does not create a physician-patient relationship between you and Picardo.
All content, including AI-generated insights, charts, and text, is for informational purposes only. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on Picardo.

4. AI & Data Accuracy
Picardo uses advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) to parse documents and generate summaries. AI systems can make mistakes ("hallucinations").
- We cannot guarantee that parsed lab results are 100% accurate. You must verify all data against your original PDF reports.
- AI chat responses are not reviewed by medical professionals.
- You are responsible for verifying any information before making health decisions.
California AI Disclosure (SB 1001 / SB 243): The Picardo AI health assistant is an automated system powered by artificial intelligence. It is not a human. All responses are artificially generated by machine learning models and are not reviewed, written, or supervised by a human in real-time. This disclosure is provided in compliance with California's Bolstering Online Transparency (B.O.T.) Act and related AI disclosure requirements.
5. Lab Orders & Independent Providers
Facilitation Only: Picardo provides a technology platform that facilitates access to laboratory testing. We are not a laboratory and do not perform testing.
Independent Physician Network: Laboratory tests are ordered by independent physicians or other qualified healthcare professionals ("Ordering Providers") who are not employees of Picardo. By requesting a test, you establish a limited doctor-patient relationship with the Ordering Provider for the sole purpose of ordering and reviewing that specific test.
Authorized Agent: By using the Service to order labs or access results, you legally authorize Picardo to act as your agent for the limited purpose of communicating with laboratories (such as Labcorp or Quest), ordering tests on your behalf, and receiving your results.
Payments: Services are billed on a cash-pay basis. We do not bill insurance. You are responsible for all fees associated with your order.
Refund Policy: All sales are final. Once a lab requisition is generated, it cannot be cancelled or refunded, as the order is immediately processed with the laboratory network. Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion in cases of technical error.
6. User Data & Account Security
Your Data: You retain ownership of your health data. By uploading data, you grant Picardo a license to use, process, and store it to provide the Service, including sending it to our third-party AI and lab partners as described in our Privacy Policy.
Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
7. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Upload data for any person other than yourself without their explicit legal consent.
- Use the service for any illegal purpose.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or compromise the security of the platform.
- Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Service for any purpose without our express written permission.
- Frame or mirror any part of the Service without our express written authorization.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Picardo, its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on any information provided by the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Picardo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of the service. In no event shall Picardo's total liability to you for all damages exceed the amount you have paid Picardo in the last twelve (12) months, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), whichever is greater.
10. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
Binding Arbitration: Any dispute or claim arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.
Class Action Waiver: You and Picardo agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than in arbitration, we each waive any right to a jury trial.
