Budgerigar Droppings

This test measures specific antibodies in your blood that react to proteins found in the droppings of budgerigars, commonly known as parakeets. It helps show whether your immune system is sensitive to these birds, which is useful if you experience coughing, wheezing, or skin irritation after exposure. This information helps doctors determine if a pet bird is the source of your symptoms rather than another environmental trigger. However, this test alone cannot diagnose a specific lung disease or predict how severe an allergic reaction might be.
